The Greatest Gifts . . . Are Always Unexpected ...

Lady Noelle has no intention of marrying just to save her family’s castle. She feels nothing for Sir Gavin, the man who will become her husband on Christmas Day. Then she spies Camelot’s newest knight, the notorious Sir Nicholas the Dragon, a champion as renowned for his prowess in the beds of Camelot’s maidens as for his skill in battle. Noelle’s heart has found the man she longs for, even as her hand is promised to another.

Sir Nicholas’s only loyalty is to his king, whose orders are clear. He is to fend off the enemy besieging Noelle’s castle and bring the lady safely back to Camelot for her wedding day. But spending time with the proud beauty awakens an irresistible hunger in him. Now, as desire does battle with duty, Nicholas has only two choices -- to surrender the woman he loves to another man or fight to the end to make her his own.

Christmas in Camelot eBook Brenda Jernigan

This story was a sweet, uncomplicated story about Lady Noelle and the knight she grew to love - Sir Nicholas. Although she was promised to Sir Gavin, once she met Nicholas, her heart was engaged rather quickly. As Nicholas thought he would never marry, the turnaround in his thinking toward Lady Noelle took much longer. But we get to enjoy the development of the romance including a couple of rescues, a jousting tournament and a lovely night spent huddled together during an ice storm.

Set against the background of Camelot and the characters of King Arthur's court, this sweet romance held my interest although I doubt that it will be a book that I will read again and again. No, it is probably a one time read, but it did make for an enjoyable couple of hours and well worth the 99 cents I paid for it. For those who are interested, I did not consider this to be a sexually explicit novel.

Christmas in Camelot eBook Brenda Jernigan Reviews

Absolutely loved this book. The story had a lot of twists and turns to keep me more than interested, and about half way through on the edge of my seat. I even gave up half a nights sleep to see it through. Then I was sad because it was done. What a great read .
This book was so very entertaining. The story was entertaining and you just had to keep reading. But..... what happened to the Villain???
Ms. Jernigan's medieval novel was a cheerful, fast paced glimpse into the olden days of the fabled city of King Arthur's Camelot. The young heroine travels with her family to spend the holiday season within Camelot and to meet the young knight her father and the king have chosen for her husband. However, a chance meeting with a new knight, one of Arthur's champion jousters and quite a ladies' man causes a great deal of confusion in our heroine's emotions. A chance rescue of a lost hunting falcon brings the two together in the worst of winter weather, and after a night trapped in a sheppard's hut, the young couple find they have much in common. The final Christmas Jousting Tournament reveals dangerous plots to harm the King's champion, and the heroine must finally confront her father and the King with her change of marital plans. Of course, she is added by the sage advise of Camelot's legendary wizard, Merlin.
This is indeed a fairy tale and I loved every word of it. I don't usually choose this type of story, so I was surprised, after I started reading it, that I couldn't put it aside. I read the story in two sittings. It is the perfect love story. I loved this book and will read more of Ms. Jernigan's books.
I have read a lot of romance novels lately but, this far exceeds all of them!!!! The characters become so real and you feel feel all of their emotions!!!! Please if you only ever read on other romance let it be this one!!!!!
This book was cute and sweet. I enjoyed the Camelot setting and the Christmas season. But I thought it followed way too many cliches and the plot also seemed too convenient. The hero supposedly has a lot of issues and refused to fall in love and need a woman, yet he seemed to capitulate fairly quickly to the heroine. This is a fast, easy read. It just didn't bring anything new or interesting to the genre.
Set in Camelot, this story takes place around Christmas. Nicholas is a knight who likes the ladies, but does not wish to marry. Noelle is a lady whose brother has promised her to a knight in marriage. Noelle does not wish to marry Sir Gavin because she does not love him. The more she is around Sir Nicholas, the more she thinks about him. Of course, King Arthur has a hand in how things turn out.
